A well-placed shelf does what no piece of furniture can: it adds storage, character and warmth without taking up floor space.
Natural wood shelves solve three problems at once: they provide space for books and objects without closing off the room, they add organic texture to smooth walls, and they allow personalisation without any building work.
The key is choosing the right model and placing them well.
It’s the most classic combination and remains one of the most effective. Three or four shelves at different heights, books arranged by color or size, a small plant, and a ceramic object.

Replacing the TV stand with a set of shelves is one of the trends that is most transforming living rooms. The result is a cleaner, more visually uncluttered look that’s easier to adapt.

Less is more. Instead of filling the shelves, this idea uses empty space as a design element. Two or three carefully chosen items per shelf, arranged at different heights.

Always group objects in odd numbers — 1, 3 or 5 elements per shelf.
A very effective combination for living rooms where guests are frequently entertained. Two dedicated shelves: the top one for bottles and glasses, the bottom one for cocktail accessories and a small plant.

We have three models of floating shelves in solid oak, each with its own character:

Designed for minimalist spaces. Slimmer profile, straight edges, understated presence. Ideal when you want the objects to stand out, not the shelf. View Baldas SOMA →
Before choosing the finish, order our wood samples. They're small, real solid oak pieces in each of the 3 finishes (natural oak, aged oak and walnut) so you can see them in your light and against your wall.
