To ensure smooth and long-lasting operation, at Studio Tablas we have equipped our extendable tables with a steel mechanism with ball bearings from the prestigious German brand Pöttker. Recognized worldwide for their innovation, these hardware components are the gold standard in high-end cabinetmaking.

What does the Pöttker system bring to our tables?

Superior load capacity: The steel frame is designed to withstand the demands of oak. In the MODE’s diagonal leg design, the hardware easily supports over 70 kg, while in the NORMA’s imposing vertical structure, the system supports over 100 kg. This ensures that the center of the table never sags under the weight of daily use.
Smooth gliding: Thanks to its ball-bearing system, friction is reduced to a minimum. Opening a solid oak dining table to insert the extensions becomes a smooth, stable, and silent motion that can be performed by a single person.
Perfect alignment: The mechanism guides the halves of the main board so that, when closed, the natural grain of the oak aligns with geometric precision.
